Goodbye swamp-crotch, hello tights and boots and jackets and ALL THE GOOD CLOTHES.
Taylor and I have been holed up in our air-conditioned abodes with our pets and fams anxiously awaiting the apocalypse or the first day of fall… whichever came first. Turns out it was the latter, but seemingly by a pretty narrow margin amiright?
So, to celebrate the joyous occasion of fall and all of our lives being spared for at least one more day by the dotard and the dictator, we’ve decided to show you a few ways to squeeze a little bit more precious life out of a couple of our favorite summer staples.
Taylor paired her crop with a pair of dark wash high waisted jeans and a lighter wash fitted jean jacket for a look that just screams grande pumpkin spice lattes. And I layered my cutoffs over a pair of opaque black tights and added an oversized leopard print jacket in a look that is worthy of all the cinnamon brooms the Kroger floral department has to offer.
Another way to keep the crop alive is to pair it with some distressed, grey mom jeans, a leather jacket, and some beautiful sapphire blue velvet block-heeled booties. Gotta love a jewel tone for fall. Especially when there’s velvet involved.
Or give a little nod to the 70’s with another velvet shoe and some flared jeans that you should have just kept from the last time they were in style when you were in middle school in the 90’s.
For the cutoffs – try pairing them with a neutral, chunky sweater, tights, and a pair of floral embroidered booties.
Or go menswear-inspired with a cropped button up, fitted cardigan, some sweet little fishnet socks and the most badass pair of dork loafers you’ve ever seen. I need them. They’re $420. 😭😭😭
That’s it for us this week, lovelies! How are you transitioning your summer clothes into even better fall clothes? Are you as excited about fall foliage and looking at pet costumes online as we are? Hit us up! We’ll C U Next Tuesday!
